 We have no idea why it stopped working. The solution is restart. Does not matter software or hardware. Just restart. This is even documented. A lot of people have no idea how their software fits in the big picture. They do not need to know. They only know what comes in and what goes out and how their piece works and how to upgrade/fix it. This happens because they work on a very small piece of a very big IT system. Copy pasting from google/stack overflow seldom works. We need some talent too. The day “stack overflow” stops working the IT world is going to come to a stop. Friday sick leaves or sick leaves around holidays just to get more holidays in a row taking a day for a piece of work that takes just an hour, time passing rest of the day the salary credited sms may show 6 digits but at the end of the month the account balance only shows only 2 or 3 digits. Poor financial planning/knowledge, lot of EMIs, almost everyone has a home loan/car loan or some loan. Relatives think he is in IT earning 6 digits a month for many years, he is rich. Only God knows the truth. Big calls/conferences to discuss trivial things. People like talking a lot and explaining a lot. People are less “straight to the point”. Endless and unnecessary meetings. Big jingo words to mean small things. Like “thought process”. We cannot go home by evening 5pm or 5.30pm. For most people, there is no defined or specific out time. They know when they come to office, going home for the day depends on work on that day which mostly finishes by night. So we don’t see much sunsets.5 or 5.30 pm is basically chai time. We have more work in the evenings as its morning in the US and our US colleagues or clients come online for meetings/discussions. Most of the IT work is US based. Work starts late in the mornings like after 10 or 10.30am or even late because of the above reason. There are times when at 9am or 9.30am the office is completely empty on a working day. Lot of people go early on friday(with luggage) to quickly finish their mandated 8 or 9 hours by evening so that they can catch train/bus to their hometowns.
